About us
About
We believe every digital choice, from an email to an AI model, should be made with its climate cost in mind.

Who we are
Vision and mission
Our vision
A society where every digital choice is made with its climate cost in mind, and where green digital skills are open to everyone.
Our mission
We help people, schools, NGOs and small businesses measure and reduce the environmental footprint of their digital activity, and we prepare learners for green and greening careers, through free training, practical tools and hands-on improvement projects.
What we aim for
Five aims
Each aim has its own programme and its own measure of success.
1
Awareness
Make the carbon footprint of digital technology visible and understood.
2
Skills
Train learners in sustainable tech, green digital design and green career pathways.
3
Action
Support organisations to write and deliver a Greenprint, a measurable improvement plan.
4
Inclusion
Open green digital careers to women and young people who are under-represented in tech.
5
Evidence
Publish honest measurements of our results and avoid greenwashing.
How we work
Our values
Honesty over greenwashing
We only claim savings we have measured.
Small steps, measured
One change with a number beats ten promises.
Open knowledge
Our guides and tools are free to reuse.
Inclusion
Everything we run is designed to be open to everyone.
Practise what we preach
Our website and events are built to be low-carbon.
